Gets Under Way
Rappahannock farmers during: the next (week or so, have a chance to voice their opinions on the policies and programs of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. And the County Agriculture Mobilization Committee wants them to speak up, according to H. S. Barksdale, the committee’s chairman.
They also want the opinions of all other folks interested in the county’s rural life, as part of a report to he compiled and known as the Family Farm Policy Review, he Baid.
Similar surveys are being conducted in all Virginia counties and in all states. County reports are to be incorporated into a report which the Virginia State Ag. ricultural Mobilization Committee will submit to the Secretary of Agriculture some time early fall.
