Mrs, Hubert C. Jenkins

Mrs. Christina Bradley Jenkins, (widow of Hubert Carson Jenkins, died Saturday, September 1, at the hospital in Front Royal, after a long period of illness.

Mrs. Jenkins, 60, was a native of Page county, a daughter of Mrs. Josephine C. Bradley of Kimball, and the late John William Bradley.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from Woodville Baptist church, where she had been an active member, taking a part in aU of the various organizations of the church. Rev. S. Felton Carter conducted the services and interment was in the family section of Woodville cemetery, Pallbearers were Charlie Cloud, La&rence Kline, Rudolph Jenkins, Richard Latham, Robert Rowe, Linwood Bradley, Harry Deal, and Gid Jenkins.

Besides her mother, Mrs. Jenkins is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alvin Jenkins and Miss Christina Jenkins; three sons, Earl Bradley Jenkinp and Carson Jenkins of Woodville, and Chief Petty Officer Roy F. Jenkins. U. S. Navy; a sister, Mrs. T. W. Shenk, and two brothers, Mervie and Cernie Bradley, all of Kimball. , i

In Safety Campaign

Twelve arrests have been made in the county, reports Troopef W. A. Buntin, since the beginning of a special safety campaign in Rappahannock county. Two arrests were for speeding, two for driving drunk, four for reckless driving, two for no operator’s license, and two for hit-and-run. Of local arrests, two were from Sperryville, two from Amissville, and . one from Boston.

Trooper Buntin Btated it is a little e**ly in the campaign as yet to tell of much improvement in the safety driving on the county highways. Sheriff J. W. Critser has made no arrests as yet, and he states, like the Trooper, that to date he has noticed! little .change in county driving.

The two officers are continuing their campaign to dear the county roads of hasardous drivers.
