BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jackson of Sperryville, announce the birth of a daughter, Hattie Elisabeth, born August 28.
Mrs. Mary Jackson continues ill in Front Royal hospital, suffering from a severe attack of asthma.
Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Truman and Mrs. Julia White, of Pittsburgh, Pa., were dinner guests of Miss Lucy Roberts and Garfield Carter on Friday night.
Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Richardson and Chauncey Junior were birthday dinner guests of Charles Rob. erts at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Barbour. Others who (were there were the family, Mr. and Mrs. John Davis and sons, John Jr., Norval, (Misses Christine Roberts, Joan Barbour, Carl Jackson, of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Virginia Fletcher were dinner guests Monday night.
The Sunday School will sponsor the service at the First Baptist church Sunday; September 9 at 11 o’clock.
Rev. Penn was the guest speaker at the First Baptist church last Sunday, in the absence of Rev. R. C. Davis, who is on his vacation.
