Die* at “Glen Eyrie’'
John Andrew Keyser, outstanding farmer and orchardist, died at his home, “Glen Eyrie,” on Monday, September 3, aged 80.
Mr. Keyser, son of Mrs. Annie Miller Keyser and Noah Hampsen Keyser, is survived by his wife,_ Mrs. Sally Long Keyser; two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. John P. Snead and Mrs. Frank Wood, Dr. Robert L. Keyser, Joseph W. Keyser, and J. E. Keyser.
John A. Keyser spent a life of service and contribution in his county. Besides being a leader as a farmer and orchardist, he served the Washington Baptist church as Sunday School superin. tendent for 40 years. He was a director and faithful servant of Rappahannock National Bank for 24 years, and was a leader in Washington Co-operative Fruit Growers. He was a member of Washington Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 5, from “Glen Eyrie” with Rev. W. F. Cale, Baptist minister of Culpeper officiating. Pallbearers were C. H. Keyser, J. E. Keyser, Jr., H. M. Keyser, R. V. Snead, Dr. John P. Snead, E. M. Jones. C. E. Baldwin, Lewis Turner, and Downing Wood. Interment was in the family lot in the Masonic cemetery, Washington. _
Among those from a distance attending the services were Miss Frankie Keyser and Hampson Keyser of Washington, D.C.; Edward and Frank Long of Dallas, Texas; Dr. and Mrs. Robert Keyser of Baltimore; Comdr. C. H. Keyser of Yorktown, and Col. B. F. Miller of Richmond.
