Johnson Family Re-union Set for Labor Day
Labor Day was chosen *as the annual meeting date this year for tbe Johnson family reunion on Red Oak mountain, according to a decision announced by a meeting of the officers at the home of R. M. Johnson in Woodville on Thursday, April 24.
The first Johnson family reunion was held on the Red Oak last year when, quoting one member of the family, "there were 130 Johnsons present, not counting dogs and children.”
-E. E. Johnson, attorney of Culpeper, is president of Johnson Family, Inc., with C. E. Johnson, Jr., of Sperryville, vicepresident, and Mrs. R. M. Johnson of Woodville, secretary. The family has resolved to notify every member of the Johnson clan of the Labor Day reunion this year. The task is no small one, since the family spreads throughout many states.
The family reunion is held at Red Oak, on land which is an original Johnson grant, still owned by a member of the family.
