Spraying costs have reached an all time record high- It is the writer s opinion that from now on it should be possible to do something in the direction of bringing these costs down. One reason for this line of thought is that spraying problems have not appeared in bunches but as individual problems, making it nec% essary to put concentrated effort on one particular thing which in most cases has been to develop a material which would lie specific—in the case of insects, for the control of one insect. For example, Parathion came into use as a miticide. At present at has l>een found that it is an effective material for a large number of. insects. There are many such examples.
