were bred by R. M. Menefee of Sperry Ville and George C. Ramsey of Front Royal. The Menefee calf placd third in the lightweight Angus class while the Ramsey calf placed eighth. Competition at Charlottesville was plenty keen; actually several authorities proclaimed it to be the best baby beef show held anywhere in Virginia this year.
The Winchester Tri-Breed Show and Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, beginning at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Farmers Livestock Exchange. The sale includes; 52 Aberdeen Angus, 52 Hereford, and 23 Shorthorn cattle, all registered. In the bull line there are 12 Angus, 7 Here fords, and 9 Shorthorns.
