It’s National Home Demonstration Week—anti during this special week a window display is on exhibit in one of Lea’s windows showing part of the topics demonstrated at the Home Demonstration Clubs the past year. Mrs. Jessie Rowsie, Miss Ruth Stevens and Mrs. Jack Woodard, a county committee planed this display.
For the past two or three years the H. D. Clubs have been working on two long time goals: (a) Youth and Community Recreation and (b) Housing. . emprasis on living rooms, kitchens and adding water and bathroms. This year the clubs are continuing to carry the Federation Goal. . . Youth and Community Recreation but stressing the Youth. So far Flint Hill H. D. has promoted an Easter party at the Flint Hill School and Huntly planned a party as recreation for the Reager School Children. Mrs. George Taylor, the county goal chairman is planning a trip to Washington, D. C. to see Congress in action and visit the White House since it has been redecorated. This bus trip on May 13 is for all H. D. members and their friends.
