In 1951 many growers failed to apply this spray at the proper time, which resulted in codling moth trouble later in the season. This is an important spray for such diseases as Bitter Rot, Blotch, and Brooks Spot, and it is advisable to use either Ferbam at the rate of one and one-half pounds in one hundred gallons or a 2-4-100 Bordeaux mixture, plus DDT as recommended in the previous spray for insect control
