John Haynes
John Haynes, 52, died Sunday, April 20, 1 p.m. at Beacon Light Sanitarium in Stafford County, where he was a patient for several days.
A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Haynes was married twice. He is survived by his second wife, the former Miss Viola Woodard, ten children, two daughters by his first wife and several sisters.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. M. E. Sliger from the Forest Grove Baptist Church Tuesday, at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery at Amissville.
Active pallbearers were John Sweets, Manuel Walker, Paul Grigsby, Silas Grigsby, L. J. Smith and Johnnie Smith.

Mrs. Anne K. Menefee and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey were joint hostesses to a bridge party at the home of Mrs. Menefee on Wednesday evening. Those playing iwere Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Combs, Mi's. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Carroll Menefee, Mrs. Corrie Eastham, Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mrs.- George Taylor, Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. C. O. Calhoun, Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. P. L. Thornton, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. G. Brown Miller, Dike Quaintance and H.B. Winfrey. Mrs. Estes won high prize for guests, Mrs. Sealock won 'high for club and Mrs. Hall won bingo. A salad course was served by the hostesses following the game.
