TODAY IS DEADLINE FOR FILING TAXES For convenience of those who have failed to file personal property and state income tax forms, Mrs. Roberta K. Massie has stated #she will be in the office of the Commissioner of Revenue in the Courthouse tonight, May 1, at 7:30.
Today, May 1, is the final day to file such tax forms without an additional 10 per cent penalty.
Operetta Proves Success
“The Gypsy Rover,” a romantic musical comedy, given under the direction of Miss Charlotte GoUaday for the students on Firday evening followed by a night performance in the high school, was a great success, educationally and financially.
Miss Golladay, with her coworker, Mrs. George Taylor, pianist, and their helpers deserve the appreciation of the county. However \they must feel gratified over the Success of Friday evening, April 18.
It is no easy task to take so many pupils from the high school and grades^ and stage such an entertainment in music.
Miss Golladay and her students are working hard in order to he able financially for the Glee Club to attend the State Music Camp at Massanutta Springs in June. The seventy dollars cleared on Friday will make a good start.
