BIRTHDAY DINNER
Mrs. John R. Jenkins gave a birthday dinner for her husband, John R. Jenkins of Nethers. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lee of Unionville, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Blalock of Portsmouth, Mr. and Mrs. Conner Jenkins and family of Boston, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Atkins, Mr. and Mrs. Meade Nicholson and family, Mr. andt Mrs. Henry Sisk, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Jenkins and family, Mrs. Fannie Sisk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Sisk, Mr. and Mrs. Tprah Weakley.
The meats were one old ham, one turkey, two chickens and a lots of other things. Mr. Jenkns was seventy-five years old. He had to blow five times to put his candles out and everyone had lots of fun. —Contributed
