If there is a long period between the pink and petal-full spray, bloom spray would be advisable, especially if rains occur during this time- For the bloom spray either Ferbam at the rate of one pound in one hundred gallons or a combination of Ferbam and sulfur can be used. If a situation has developed where there is danger that scab infection has taken place, an organic mercury spray could be used. Petal-Fall Spray This application is a front-line defense for scab, rusts, and insects. If a bloom spray has been used, starting of this spray can be delayed until all of the petals have dropped.
