Daylight Saving Time

Begins Sunday

Daylight Saving Time begins in this area on Sunday, June 6, so residents should move their clocks ahead one hour before retiring Saturday night. The “fast time” remains in effect for this part of Virginia until midnight, Sunday, Sept. 5. The state will return to Eastern Standard Time on Labor Day, Sept. 6.

Injured In Warren

County Accident

Two Virginia residents were killed and three others injured irra single vehicle crash which occurred early Sunday morning in Warren County, on Route 340 near Front Royal, Fatal victims of the wreck were William Grant Whitmer of Front Royal and Donald Lee Gainey of Alexandria. Shelby Lillard Wayland of Flint Hill is a patient in Warren Memorial Hospital with a fractured clavicle, multiple fractures of the pelvis and multiple bruises, according to investigating authorities. Also injured in the crash was Linda Mace of F ront Royal who had lacerations of the knee and hand and Donald Ray Fosr er of Front Royal who was treated for bruises and abrasions of both knees.
