Camp Easter Seal
Opens June 13
Camp Easter Seal, the camp for handicapped children near New Castle, Va., operated by the Virginia Society for Crippled Children and Adults, will open on June 13 and operate until August 14. This year’s schedule was announced today by Mr. Maurice Unger, State President of the Society. Over one hundred children from all sections of the state, with handicaps of all types will attend each of the threeweek camping periods. During their stay at camp these children will participate in al regular camp activities, and in addition, will participate in physical and speech therapy programs. A staff of 70 people has been selected to serve as therapists counselors, cooks, waiters, and program directors. According to Mr. Unger, the fact that so many of tne children are physically handicapped and require constant care and supervision creates a need for a large number of counselors
