Mrs. hinott Doyie entertained with cards Monday having as her guests Mrs. Virgie Grimsley, Mrs. Edwina Rohr, Miss Lucy Kilby all of Culpeper, Mrs. Lucille Chilton, Jeffesonton, and Mrs. Jamesley Dennis. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Fincham were guests Saturday through Monday of Mrs. Fincham’s mother, Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan. Miss Annie Cooksey of Washington, Va. was a guest Monday and Tuesday of Mrs. Ethel Cooksey and Mrs. Annie Latham. Tommy Stover returned to his home Wednesday from Perry Point Hospital in Maryland where he has been a patient for several weeks. Mrs. Ida Holmes had as her guests for the weekend her daughter, Mr. Charles Schroe der and daughter Lola and Mrs. Verna Warch, all of Baltimore, Md. Thursday guests of Mrs. Holmes were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wines of Warrenton. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Laing at Bunree Farm were Mrs. Laing’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harris, Mrs. Alex Brown and her daughter Sandy, all of Baltimore, Md. On Friday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ellison of the Plains were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Stanish Riley. Mrs. Julia Curtis of Front Royal was a weekend visitor of Mrs. J. L. Walter. Allan Cooper accompanied by his sister Mrs. Jack Dennis of Alexandria, left Saturday, May 22 for Trafalgar, Ind. called there by the illness of their brother Ivan Cooper, who died the following Saturday. Other members of the family who attended the funeral service Wednesday (yesterday) of Ivan Cooper in Indiana were his mother, Mrs. Julius Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walker of Woodbridge, Jack Dennis and children of Alexandria and Mrs. Allan Cooper and children Becky and Greg.
