Mrs. B. M. Miller and Mrs. Charles H. Estes were in Washington, D. C. Thursday to attend the funeral services for Mrs. Harry O. Dodson. Col. and Mrs. E. A. McNear of Vint Hill Station and son Lt. Richard McNear of Ft. Belvoir spent the long weekend at Greenwood, their farm here. Sunday guests of Miss Doris Daugherty were Miss Mary K. Martin and Miss Mary K. Martin and Miss Sandra Cowan of Manassas. Mr. and Mrs. R. 0. Lindstrom of New Market were Sunday callers of Judge and Mrs. B. M. Miller. ' Mrs. John A. Haynes of Alexandria was the over-night guest Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lee Smith at Spring House Farm. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Haynes attended the Commencement exercises at Longwood College. They were accompanied home by Miss Lee Smith, a member of the graduating class, and Miss Molly Smith who has completed her sophomore year. Judge and Mrs. Rayner V. Snead were in Roanoke over the week-end to attend the Judicial Conference held at the Roanoke Hotel. Miss Dana Snead arrived home last Wednesday after completing the school year at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg. Judge and Mrs. T. C. Lea returned home Monday after attending the marriage of Mrs. Lea’s cousin Miss Gene Howie' to Grady P. Butler which took place Saturday night in Abbeville, S. C. Charles B. Palmer was in Bamberg, S. C. during the week-end. His son Stewart returned home with him on Tuesday after completing the school year at Carlisle Military School. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall had as guests at buffet dinner
