Mrs. Joseph Powers accompanied a group from Precious Blood Catholic Church of Culpeper to Richmond on Sunday to attend the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Convention at the John Marshall HoteL Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield and children Debbie, Bob, Jr. and Johnny of Berryville were Sunday- guests of Mr. Barfield’s mother Mrs. Hazel Barfield and helped celebrate the ninety-sixth birthday of his great-aunt Miss Alice Hitt. Sunday guests of the Rev. W. B. Dennis were his sons and families Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dennis and children of Alexandria and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dennis and children of Culpeper. Mrs. Anna Dodson accompanied her father Paul Nicholson and brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dodson of Nethers to Culpeper on Sunday to attend the funeral of her cousin Mrs. Janie Jenkins. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
