Dr. G. Tyler Miller, Jr. has been appointed professor of chemistry and assistant dean for instruction at St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Laurlnburg, N. C.

He is presently chairman of the chemistry department at Hampden - Sydney College, Farmville and will take his new post during the summer. In the past six years at Hampden-Sydney, Dr. Miller received five grants for research totalling $123,700 for a variety of projects. In 1958 when he completed his work for a Ph. D. in physical chemistry at the University of Virginia; Dr.Mlllerwaa awarded the annual research prize
