to borrowers with supervisor for checking and advising on all phases of planned development and operations. Applicants receive careerconditional appointments as trainees. They re ceive inservice training and work under the direction of experienc ed supervisors. When appoint ees return to school they are placed on leave-without-pay. Upon completion of all requirements for graduation, trainees are assigned to professional positions as Farm Management Super visors. There are good opportunities for advancement to more responsible and higher paying positions. Applicants must take a written test of verbal abilities, abstract reasoning and graph and table interpretations. The test will be rated on the scale of 100. In addition to the written test, students must successfully complete the following by June 30, 1966: For GS-3- One full year of academic study (30 semester or 45 quarter hours) For GS-4- Two and one-half years of academic study . The college study must be at an accredited college or University in a full 4-year or longer curriculum leading to a Bachelor's or higher degree with major-study in some field of agriculture.
