Forestry Position
versity in 1961. Since then he has been a service forester, working mostly in Albemarle County. His wife, Mary Ann, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Foster of Albemarle County. The Mihalic’s and their two-year-old daugh ter, Linda, will continue to live in Charlottesville. Gregory F. Mihalic of Charlottesville has assumed the duties of an assistant district forester in the Northern Piedmont District of the Virginia Division of Forestry. According to District Forester, D. G. Wilfong, Jr., Mihalic will be in charge of reforesta tion and allied activities in the s ix t e e n - co u n t y district. The post was newly creat ed to help serve the increasing number of private landowners who are investing in reforestation. Wilfong points out that Virginia was third last year among the 50 states in acreage reforested.
