Firemen will sponsor an Indoor Carnival at the Fire Hall Saturday, February 18 starting at 7 o’clock. The public is invited to attend. Proceeds will go toward the expenses of the Fire Department.

Mrs. Frank Anderson and Mrs. Claude Sparks left Monday morning for Broad Run, called there by the death of Mrs. Anderson's grandchild and Mrs. Sparks’ niece Penny Ellen Leak, age 19 months. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Leake. George Jenkins of Culpeper was a Saturday evening guest of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jenkins and family. Their daughter Mrs. Littleton Fincham of Culpeper was a Sunday dinner guest. Friday evening guests of the Chester Weavers were Mrs. Weaver’s brother-in-law and sisters, Dr. and Mrs. J. J. Casey and Mrs. Julia Carver of Culpeper. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. George W. Tidier of Slate Mills were their guests. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Sr. were Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Jr. andfamily of Herndon.
Mrs. Fred Stanley’s mother Mrs. Bessie Sparks returned to her home in Silver Spring, Md. on Friday. Mr. and Mrs, T. Jack Dennis and family of Alexandria spent Sunday with the Rev. W. B. Dennis. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines were Monday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gaines and Mrs. C. M. Gaines and family in Madison.
