Widows of working persons can now receive their Social Security payments at the age of 60. This is another of the 1965 changes in the Social Security law, according to Mrs Hazel F. Daly, District Manager of th Winchester office. “For many years,’’ the manager explained, “we’ve been telling widows to come back and see us when -they’re 62. Every time we made a lump-sum payment shortly after the death of the worker, she said, “we sent the widow a written reminder that she could get monthly payments at 62.
