Dates to Remember: Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m. - Flint Hill with Mrs. Barbara Gentry. The demonstration will feature slides on Plant Materials for Various Areas. March 11, 9:30 a.m. - County Demonstration Contests for all 4-H members. March 18, 5:30 to7:30p.m.Annual 4-H Supper. On Monday night, February 20, Madison County will have a representative from the Lee Carpet Co. at their extension school. The topic to be discussed is “Selection, Care and Maintenance of Rugs, Carpets, and Pads". Hqmemakers and anyone interested are invited to attend. The meeting to be held at the County School, will begin at 7:30 p.m.
********** 4-H'ers take notice: County demonstration day will be held on March 11, 1967 at the High School. This program provides some of the best experiences of 4-H work and should be one in which everyone is interested in and would want to participate in. Awards are available on every level - county, district and state and top awards in the state are often college scholarships. The demonstration program helps the club member in his four-fold development and, therefore, parents should encourage their child to participate. As a former 4-H, I speak from experience when I say that this is a most valuable part of the 4-H “career". March 18 is the date set for thi6 year's 4-H Supper.
