ginia Division of thelzaakWal ton League, headed by Chester F. Phelps, Chapter President and Executive Director of the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries. The program, now in its fifth year, provides future resource managers with work experiences that help them solidify their career plans, and which are invaluable as practical background for their college studies. Pay is commensurate with local wage scales. Virginia students desiring to participate in the program should send their applications to Chester F. Phelps, chairman of the state selection com mittee, P. O. Box 1642, Richmond, Virginia 23213. Each applicant is required to submit the following: a completed employment application on U. j S. Government Form #57, available from any post office; a transcript of his high ! school record; a written recommendation from some adult, other than a member of his family, who knows the applicant and his qualifications for the program; and a letter from the applicant stat ing his college and career jplans, describing his extracurricular activities in high school and any conservation : work he had done, and dis: cussing his reasons for seeking summer employment with ; the Department of the Interior. Applications should be in the hands of the chairman of the selection committee not later than March 20, 1967.
