Mrs. Delsie Florence Hitt of Castleton died Saturday, May 13, 1967 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville at the age of 78. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Eliza Butler of Rappahannock County. Surviving are seven sons, Taylor Hitt, Arthur -Hitt and Turner Hitt, all of Culpeper. Lewis Hitt, Downing Hitt and Charlies Hitt, of Castleton and Robert Lee Hitt of Reading, Pa., six daughters, Mrs. Ray mond Shiflett of Somerset, Mrs. Annie Weakley of Mitchells, Mrs. Jessie Weakley of Brightwood, Mrs. Charlie Jenkins of Washington, Va., Mrs. Jack Kackley of Culpeper and Mrs. James Dellin ger of Alexandria; one stepson, Horace Hitt of Culpeper, one step-daughter, Mrs. Grace Green of Amissville, a sister, Mrs. Lena Jenkins of Amissville and a brother, Willie Haynes of Culpeper. A funeral service was held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Geest Funeral Chapel officiated by the Rev. Milton Switzer. Interment was in Fairview Ceme tery, Culpeper.
