“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.* (Rom. 6:23) This verse of Scripture reveals a great contrast between what man deserves and what God offers him. The results of sin is death. Since all have sinned, man has no claim on life. This is why life is so uncertain. This is the basis for all the sorrows and afflictions that we undergo.
Yet God in His infinite love offers us the gift of eternal life. This is a gift for which the price has been paid by another. Christ died on the cross to atone for our sins once and for all. No other need die for sin. In view of the grace of Christ, physical death becomes only a doorway to blessing for those who have been made pas takers of the gift. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come unto condemnation; but is passed from death; unto life.* (John 5:24)

disabilities, but to ease the j pressure of need on war vet j erans who, through permanent infirmities, are substantially unemployable and have low incomes. Some veterans, on the rolls when a law is passed remain under the older law by choice. There are several basic requirements for pen sion, among these are:
(1) 90 d ay s or more of honorable service, a part of which must have been during a period of war. (2) The veteran must be permanently and totally disabled and unable to follow any type of gainful employment. Veterans who are 65 years of age or older need have only 10%, disability to qualify.
