TO NATURE Have you ever had the chance To watch the golden sunbeams dance Through the emeralds green and

crystal leaves? ’Tis a bit of magic up His sleeves! In the air as pure as lovers’ glances Falls a shower of silver lances And even the untrained eye can perceive

The beauty that Nature doth conceive.

Have you e’er beheld the dawn Through half-closed eyes and stifled

yawn ? Where through tall pines the north

wind blows, Where through the misty forest

shows A gracefuf^doe with new-born fawn, A fleeting moment there—then gone! Within the woods, winter’s snow Forms bubbling springlets that gaily

flow. Have you'e’er considered lying By a river, springtime-sighing? Upon warm rocks, beneath cool trees, Hearing only the reluctant breeze As the river flows on by thee, Swollen with winter’s tears and crying

As, in answer to our pleas, Winter flows on to summer seas. Thank you, Dear Lord, For the beauty around me; I pray that nature May always surround me.
