The regular meeting of the Chester Gap Home Demonstration Club was held last Thursday night at the Fire Hall with eleven members present. Miss Josie Coon of Chester, Va. spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Buster Mills and family. Mrs. LaMerle Williams, Mrs. Patsy Williams and daughter Patty were in Winchester last Friday. Mrs. Margaret Williams returned to her home from the Warren Memorial Hospital Friday where she had been a surgical patient. She is recovering satisfactorily. Mrs. Jerry Mathews and son Ricky of Browntown were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Burnette of Falls Church spent! the week-end with Mrs. Bur-1 nette’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams. Other visitors during the week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sibert, Ray and Patty Sibert, Ray and Joe Priest, Maynard Williams Mrs. Marcelle McNeill^ Nancy, Linda and Bruce McNeill, all of Front Royal, Mr. and Mr! Hubie Gilkey, Bert, Kim and Kelly Jo Gilkey, of Chester Gap. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kreisher of Front Royal visited Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sealock last Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Williams, Miss Mattie Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Hubie Gilkey, and family were among those who were in Winchester Saturday.
Recent visitors of Mrs. Harve Williams were Mr. and Mrs. Eston Campbell and daughter Ruth, the Rev. and Mrs. C. P. Palmore, Mrs. Matilda Brown, Mrs. Barbara Grove, of Front Royal, Mrs. Margaret Robinson of Edinburg, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Campbell of Frederick, Md.; Mrs. Dorothy Painter of Culpeper, Mrs. Effie Settle and two children of Castleton.
Lawrence Richard fell off a bicycle last Wednesday evening and cut his leg and arm. He was taken to a doctor in the Chester Gap ambulance where he had six stitches in each cut. He returned^to his home.
Mr. and Mrs. David Williams and son Duane accompanied by Mrs. Elsie Frye of Winchester visited Mrs. Martha Everhart in a Home in Gettysburg, Pa. recently. Mrs. Gertrude Cameron, Mrs. Audrey Williams, and two sons Jeff and Buck, Mrs. Wellie Willis and Mrs. David Jenkins visited Mr. and Mrs.: Jimmy Burke and infant daugh ter Monday at Manassas. Mrs. Eileen Davis returned j to her home last Saturday! after visiting Judge Brent Overstreet at Louisville, Kentucky for three days and attending the Kentucky Derby. She also visited friends in Nashville, Term, and Danville, Illinois.
