Elects Officers
The Rappahannock Historical Society met Tuesday night in the Rappahannock Library. At the election of officers Mr. \ . \1. Jones, Mrs. Mary Ouaintance and Mr. R. I,. Brown were unanimously re-elected for another term as President Vice-President and Treasurer, respectively. Mr. William M. Carrigan was reelected Co-ordinator and Mr. Robert Johnson was elected to be his assistant. Mrs. Johnj Williams was elected Secre-j tary.
Mr. John Frederick Dormar^ noted geneologist of Washington, D.C., editor and publisher of I'he Virginia Geneolo1 gist nuarterly, gave an interesting talk on methods and sources of acquiring geneological information.
Crusade Volunteers
Additional contributions have been received for the Cancer Crusade in Rappahannock, but! a tally of complete returns is not yet available. According to Crusade Chairman, Miss Mary Miller Wood, Wash ington, an official tabulation will be published in the next issue of this newspaper. In addition to volunteers nam ed last week who assisted in | the crusade,these are recognized; Miss Linda Ralls, Miss Barbara Jenkins, Mrs. C. S. Shillingburg, Mrs. Anna Fineham, Mrs. Moody Aylor.Mrs. Jesse Ward, Stuart Hawkins, Mrs. Jonas Jenkins, David Palmer, Gail Updike, Mrs. Clarence Bearing and the M. Y. F. of the Methodist Church which helped Mrs. Robert Clatterbuck in Wakefield District.
Miss Wood expressed personal appreciation to each individual who contributed to the crusade and extended profound: thanks to all of the volunteer workers who aided in the sue-; cess of it.
