Trio Apprehended in Sperryville Theft

Three Prince William County men were apprehended in Fauquier County after taking more than 20 antique jugs and crocks from the Sperryville 66 Station Thursday night. The theft of the jugs was discovered and an alarm broadcast to all troopers in the surrounding area. In about a half hour the trio was picked up in Warrenton and held for Sheriff C. K. Estes. Sheriff Estes and Trooper W. A. Buntin, accompanied by Elmer S. Atkins, owner of the Sperryville 66 Station, went to Warrenton after securing warrants for the arrest of Gary Wayne Foley, Fred True Sheppard, Jr. and Terrill Avery Carter. They were later released on bond.
