Margaret Lucille Moyer of Ivy, one of the 7,889 girls and boys getting a helping hand from the Virginia Easter Seal Society, will be a very special young lady during the next few weeks. Margaret has been selected as the official Easter Seal Child for Virginia and will represent the Society throughout this year's campaign which begins March 1 and comes to a clirpax on April 14, Easter Sunday. Twelve-year old Margaret lives at “Bloomfield," Home for Handicapped Children, with her twenty-four “brothers" and “sisters" under the dedicated guIda nee ofDeaconess Frances Campbell, Resident Director. Regular classroom studies are provided at “Bloomfield* and Margaret is presently enrolled in the fifth grade. She writes all of her lessons unassisted and maintains above-average grades. .It has been difficult for her to'cope-;with the many physical limitations caused by a congenital limb deficiency which affects both arms and legs. However, by courageous inner determination, lots of constant hard work and a sunny positive attitude, Margaret has mastered the use of h'er two artificial arms in performing many activities of daily living.
