Tanner of Charlottesville on her 82nd birthday. Among those attending the funeral service Monday for Mr. Silas D. Miller in Culpeper were James F. Massie, Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett, Mrs. W. Arthur Miller, Mrs. William M. Fletcher, E. M, Jones and D. D. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell spent the day Monday with Mrs. C. H. White in Linden. Mrs. White received word Sun day of the death of her sonin-law Capt. Thomas K. Bowers in Los Altos, California. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller and Mrs. Mary B. Quaintance were luncheon guests Sunday at Howard Johnson Restaurant in Front Royal and visited Miss Belle Strother at the Royal Haven Nursing Home. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Burke and two children of Huntly spent Sunday with Mr. Burke’s parents Mr. and Mrs. J. Lester Burke.
