A series of traffic crashes has occurred in the past week with injuries on the minor side but property damage high.

On January 7 at 5:45 p.m. on Route 211 a mile east of Amissville, two cars collided. Manuel Pullen of Amissville, operating a 66 Ford pickup, pulled onto the highway from his lane and was sideswiped by Margaret Ann Lillard of Castleton in a 67 Chevrolet. Mrs. Lillard sustained a bruised left leg. She was treated at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton and released. Damage was estimated at $500 to the pickup and at $800 to the auto, and Mr. Pullen was charged with failing to yield the right of way by Trooper W. A. Buntin, who investigated the collision.
