A single vehicle crash occurred January 9 on Route 620, two and a half miles east of Sperryville at 8:10 p.m. George Patterson of Reva, operating a 1970 Opel, lost control of the vehicle on a curve, hit a snowbank on the left of the road and overturned. Hej sustained a lacerated left kneej and contusions of the head and was charged with failing to maintain control of his vehicle.

The following night, Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. a car struck a farm tractor and w 231, seven miles south of Sperryville. Charles Lewis Gallihugh of Sperryville, operating a Ferguson tractor belonging to Mrs. C. R. Hite, was struck from behind by an approaching vehicle. The tractor, operating at night without lights, was hit bjnp68 Chevrolet owned *nd operated by Charles Elwood Taylor of .Silver Spring, Md. No injuries resulted and damage was set at $300 to the auto. Gallihugh was charged with improper use of a farm vehicle.
