tact 1: The proposed 138-thousand volt line is for pure transmission allowing for no consumer distribution of electricity to the people of Rappahannock County. The line would merely connect Riverton in Warren County to Boston in Culpeper County. We could not plug into it anywhere.
Fact 2: It has not been proven that the proposed transmission line is at all necessary to assure enough electricity in Rappahannock County. Our area is presently served by a less offensive line perfectly adequate to keep up with any expected' growth or demand.
Fact 3: Potomac Edison would not dare to deliberately cut off or reduce electricity to the County nor any individual user as a pressure tactic. Despite the ^methods being used to push the xrTiTs miss ion' Tine across Rappahannock, it is a public utility required by law to serve the public. You can put those kerosene lamps back in the attic.
Fact 4: Many Rappahannock residents can forget ever watching television in their homes again if this line goes through. People who live near or to the west of the proposed line will find the television stations in Washington, D. C. so effectively blocked that no special antenna or amplifiers could bring in a decent picture. Radio reception would also be affected near the line.
