Mrs. Eliza Settle
Mrs. Eliza Elliott Settle, 80, ol Washington, Va., died Monday, January 11, 1971, enroute to the Winchester Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of William Robert Settle. Born in Rappahannock County,‘she was Y the daughter of the late James Richard and Sarah Elizabeth Embrey Elliott.
She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Virginia Estes of Washington, Va. and one son William E. Settle also of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Walker Bennett of Front Royal and Mrs. Pauline Dodson of Stephen City and one brother Charles R. Elliott of Potomac, Md.
Mrs. Settle was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church where funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.Vn. conducted by the Rev. Jerry 0. Campbell. Interment followed in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Acting as pallbearers were Carroll Settle, Togen Settle, Jr., Wade Settle, Jr., George Bennett, W. A. Buntin, T. C/ Lea, Jr., Jonas Jenkins, Jr., and Randall Updike.
Clore Funeral Home was in Charge of arrangements.
