done to help clean up the Thornton permanently. If you have any suggestions as to how county trash disposal can be improved, this group would be interested. Contact Mrs. Edith Reese, Apt. 312, 3401 N. Charles St., Baltimore, Md., 21218. A good start was made on Sunday but more must be done before the banks of the Thornton are clear of litter. Individuals and groups must combine efforts with the county to clean up the river and maintain the condition.
Conditions, including weather and water depth, were ideal Sunday for the trip. Only about this time of year is the river navigable. The water Sunday was the six-inch mark which is most suitable and it will probably continue navigable through March.
Correction Noted
The Adult Education program will be concluded on Thursday, March 11 instead of the 18th as was erroniously reported to this newspaper last week. Certificates for those who completed a course will be presented at that time.
Church Supper
The monthly fellowship supper at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville is set for Wednesday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. This will be a covered dish supper and everyone is welcomed.
