Representative at Diocese Council
Mr. and Mrs. George Raymond Jenkins of Suffolk attended the Council of the Diocese of Southern Virginia and the installation of the Rt. Rev. David Shepherd Rose, D. D. as Bishop of the Diocese of Southern Virginia, held recently at Bruton Parish Church, Williamsburg.
Approximately 500 Episcopal church leaders attended the threeday meeting. Mr. Jenkins was acting in his capacity as Senior Warden of the Vestry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Suffolk. Mr. Jenkins is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Jenkins of Sperryville and Mrs. Jenkins is the daughter of Mrs. A. M. Vemer of Washington.
