A final analysis of check station data accumulated during Virginia’s experimental pheasant season revealed a total of 216 pheasants taken in 22 counties reports Dennis Hart, Supervisor ot the Game Commission’s Foreign Game Bird Program. The largest number of birds were reported from Page County where 62 were taken followed by Loudoun county where Commission stocked birds were bolstered with birds released by local sportsmen resulting in a kill of 50 cocks.
