Last Sunday our class teacher used as part of her discourse the parable of Jesus, where the foolish man built his house on a foundation of sand. This passage is found in Matthew 7:26-27. In Mark 3: 25 (KJV) “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” I like Goodspeed’s translation. “If a household is disunited, that household cannot last.” Now, I don’t think the Master Jesus was speaking of houses except in an allegorical way.
When we speak of a household we are speaking of the occupants of a particular house. How do the people in that house get along; is there sweet accord, perfect harmony, peace? Christ once said that there would be talk of peace, but there would be NO peace. I’m just betting He was right. What are some of the things that
