Adopt a new regulation to be numbered R18-2.1 as follows:
It shall be lawful to hunt bearded turkeys only from April 14 to May 12, 1973, both dates inclusive, from one-half hour before sunrise to 11 o’clock a.m., except in the counties of King and Queen, Lee and Louisa, which shall be closed to hunting. Bearded turkeys shall be hunted by calling. It shall be unlawful to use dogs or organize drives for the purpose of hunting.
Amend Regulation R18-3toread as follows:
There shall be a continuous closed turkey season, except where a special spring season for bearded turkeys is provided for in R 18-2.1, in the counties of Accomack, Alleghany (in the Gathright Management Area only), Arlington, Bath (in the Gathright Management Area only), Buckanan, Carroll, Charles City, Clarke, Dickenson, Floyd, Gloucester, Hanover, Henrico, Henry, Isle of Wight, James City, King and Queen, King George, Lancaster, Lee, Louisa, Mathews, Middlesex, Nansemond, New Kent, Northampton, Northumberland, Patrick, Richmond, Scott, Southampton, Surry, Sussex, Westmoreland, Wise and York, and in the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News and Virginia Beach.
