SEVENTEEN charges, several each of assault, brandishing firearms, firing on the highway and destroying personal property, against Pete r Marx of Washington, Va. were nolle prosequi Tuesday morning in Fauquier County Court.

The action was taken by Judge W. W. Carson Jr. on the recommendation of Fauquier Commonwealth’s Attorney John Alexander.

Marx entered a plea of guilty to one charge, that of obstructing justice and impeding a police officer, and was found guilty. He was given a sentence of 12 months in jail, suspended on good behavior for 12
