This facility is to bo known as tha Long-Term Cara Facility of Cnlpapar Memorial Hospital, Inc. Tha addition is the first phase of a long-term master plan tor expansion Hut began in December I960. Development of this long-term master plan was based upon a report cammimtened by year Hospital's Board of Directors which stadied the future medical needs of oar community and ranked these needs according to priority. The study and the report were performed by a lreip<tt» caasaltaat who is a recognized expert in the field. The need for the 60 bed addition was givan tap priority in the report of the original consultant’s study. Recently, a second study known as an Independent Financial Feasibility Study, authorized by your Hospital's Board of Directors, was performed by a ItHif national firm of certified public accountants. The feasibility study looked at the proposed 60 bed tf1^ In two ways: 1) to determine that the beds are needed and ml be utilized, and 2) to determine that your Hospital can pay tor the addition. The answer to both questions was a firm g* The State Health Department’s promise of a HV-Burton grant of *731,500 to help build the new wing is further rocagnitioo of the need for the addition.
