Behind the scenes at the Sperryville Fire and Rescue Squadsmen’s banquet held Thursday were some really good cooks and efficient help. Among those who prepared the dinner and made the banquet preparations were Silas Foster, John Walker Jenkins, Mrs. Marie Jenkins, George Jenkins and Mrs. Virginia Woodward. The ham and chicken dinner was attended by local volunteers and guests from surrounding companies. Robert Racer, who always is most generous with assistance to the volunteer organizations and helped with the banquet, was not present when the picture was taken.
