A FEW DAYS AGO 1 was with a group of elderly people. One gentleman was telling a lady that he had been married to the same woman for over 47 years, that he hatf taken an oath before God to love her till death. 1 told him that he was to be commended, that 1 thought that most who made this vow did so with their fingers crossed. The lady said that maybe the vow should be changed to “till 1 find another 1 liR6 bcttGr The Book says that by some metamorphosis married peop'e become one flesh. 1 wonder if both parties sometimes wish they had the power to control their his-her tongue. James says that no man can tame this small organ called the tongue. He says it can bless and it can curse. Isn’t it sweet, after a tongue-lashing, to have that same tongue say, “Honey, forgive me, 1 didn’t mean what 1 said. I love you.” When something like this happens, and 1 imagine it does all too often, 1 suggest you read together the third chapter of James.
