places first in the discus and shot while Dawn Keithley excels in the high jump. Lisa Raiford is outstanding in the hurdles and Sarah Massie in the high jump. Relay teams composed of Karen Welch, Shelia Bailey, Rhonda Estes, C.C. Taylor and Dee Welch have excellent records also.

Other team members who perform include Missy Clanagan, Janice Aylor, Angela Grigsby, Penny Chadwell, Natalie Swindler, Wendy Jenkins, Treasa Mahoney, Julie Lum, Lynn Anderson, Sandra Hudson and Jackie Myers.

This team took all but one event in a meet April 11 with Strasburg there. Rappahannock scored 83 1/2 while Strasburg had 24 1/2 points.

THE Pantherette varsity track 'team defeated Elkton 59-46 in competition at Elkton on April 17. Three of Rappahannock’s girls are undefeated this season and should do well in the district meet scheduled for April 30 at Stonewall Jackson in New Market.
