It’s been a busy weekatR.C.H.S.! Senior play is under way,#the Juniors are making preparations for the prom and our baseball teams played four consecutive games, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. I think rather than being affected by “spring fever,” R.C.H.S. has an acute case of “spring Ferver”! Things are on the move!
The "National Honor Society met Tuesday to make plans for a spring picnic and to discuss the induction of its new members.
Some students from the 9th and 12th grades participated in a statedwide drug survey this week. The purpose of the survey was to study attitude and knowledge of drugs by students in order to aid in drug abuse control throughout the state.
Our art students set up a display of sculpture done in art classes this six Weeks for the enjoyment of the student body. They added an interesting and artistic touch to school this week which I am sure everyone appreciated. Much of the sculpture was non objective while other pieces were more conventional...Hope they decide to display their work more often. It’s a treat.
Our baseball team is really staying on top this season. Last week they beat Elkton with a super score of 14 to 4 and Tuesday the first game of 4 this week,they defeated Page County by a score of 5 to 0. Way to go, Panthers! I’ll fill you in on the other three games next week.
Juniors, don’t forget that ring orders go in on May 7th.
Our track team participated in a meet Monday with Montevideo and Stonewall Jackson high schools. Montevideo was first with a socre of 78 1/2; Rappahannock second, scoring 59 1/2 and Stonewall had 32.
