The developer would be required to put up a bond to insure that money is available to make the “improvements” work outlined in the plan, provided the developer fails to make them himself. The planners decided to reduce the bonding fee for work done in agricultural district, where the slope is less severe. The bond will be held until a year after the project is completed.
The Supervisors must adopt the Erosion and Sedimentation Ordinance before July 1, so the planners must have the ordinance drafted and ready for hearing before the Supervisors meeting in June.—Pekay Pettus
