Rappahannock County residents are reminded that the deadline for the purchase of county tags will be next Wednesday April 30 and these windshield stickers must be in place by the following day, May 1. The deadline was extended this year in order that it would coincide with the final day for payment of state taxes.
County tags are purchased at the Treasurer’s office in Washington and the office of the Commissioner of the Revenue accepts state taxes filed. Both of these offices will be open Saturday until 11 a.m. to handle the transactions and regular hours continue during the week. This is the last Saturday these offices will be open.D
